UPDATES

On Sunday April 8th we received emails from DAVID OLIE and RICHARD GAZLEY identifying the plane as a Fiesler Storch.

RICHARD GAZLEY says:
I don't have any idea *where* or under what
circumstances this photo was taken, but the term
"Jerry" was fairly common for refering to the Germans,
and the "Stork" would be a German "Storch" utility
aircraft.  Rommel used to fly around in the desert in
one of these.  I can only assume that one of them was
captured and put to use by the British.

DAVID OLIE writes:
This is a Fiesler Storch (in English, "Stork"), which was the
standard Luftwaffe light reconaissance and liason plane during WWII.
