| PHOTO 0031: Building a pontoon bridge (German POWs). |
| A photo of what is most probably German POWs building a pontoon bridge. |

| PHOTO 0032: Flail Tank. |
| As described by the note on the back...a flail (mine clearing) tank.
"Another of the Funnies was the Crab, a minesweeping adaption of the Sherman. Its power-operated flailing attachment could clear a 10-foot-wide path through a minefield at 1 1/2 m.p.h." - Readers Digest, The Tools of War 1939/1945. Montreal 1969. |

| PAUL FERRARO, ROB MacKENZIE, RICHARD GAZLEY, IAN DAGLISH, DAVID OLIE, GRAHAM SMITH, and SHAUN CARTER have contacted us confirming this Flail Tank as a Sherman Crab. Click on the photo to see more details. |
| PHOTO 0033: Panther (Monty Adj). |
| The note on the front of this partially developed photo clearly labels it a German Panther. The interesting thing is the handwritten note on the back..."Monty's Adj". |

| Not only have we received emails confirming this as a panther, we've received exact details on the manner of its destruction. At this point the 'Monty Adj.' note is still a mystery. Click on the photo to find out about this tank, including an appropriate excerpt from The Panzers and the Battle of Normandy. |
| PHOTO 0034: Albert Canal |
| An aerial of the Albert Canal. Notice the two bridges...each being used as a "one way" bridge. The upper one has traffic going right to left. The lower pontoon bridge is about to be crossed by a convoy that stretches down the tree-lined street and back to the left. |

| Can anyone provide the exact location of this picture? |
| PHOTO 0035: German Plane (Junkers 52/3m) |
| Another photo of a German seaplane. I originally postulated the theory that this was an He series plane. The response has been unanimous. This is a Junkers 52/3m. |

| Every single person who wrote to us identified this kite as a Junkers 52/3m (and some were more specific). The notes we received had some great information. Click on the picture to take a look. |
| PHOTO 0036: An Allied Plane |
| We've posted a few German planes on this site...but until now no allied
planes.
Here is photo 0036, our first posting of an allied plane. |

| We have received a lot of great information for photo 0036 including a link. Although all emails don't agree exactly...consensus points towards an RAF Mustang (two people mentioned the Allison engine). Click on the photo to see the fabulous information we've received. |
| PHOTO 0037: D-DAY +1. Another Post-D-Day photo (like #0002, #0023, #0038). |
| Another aerial photo taken June 7th, 1944 (see Photos 0002 and 0023). |

| IAN DAGLISH has sent some excellent information regarding this photo. Click on the photo for details. |
| PHOTO 0038: Orne River Aerial (like #0002, #0023, #0037) |
| Just like Photo 0001 this Aerial comes with no dates. Because of the number of planes (gliders?) on the ground it is very likely to be another D-Day +1 photo (which is somewhat a common theme in Nelson's archive). |

| IAN DAGLISH has confirmed this to be a D-Day +1 photo. Click on the photo for details. |
| PHOTO 0039: Winston Churchill Meeting |
| Winston Churchill meeting the troops. No location is provided on the back of the photo. |

| PHOTO 0040: Randolph Macdonald A.R.P.S. |
| Nelson's friend and fellow photographer in the 414. Macdonald had a shop at home in Toronto. |
